What does the hourly rate include
The rate covers the time our engineers spend on site, from arrival to completion. It includes the use of all specialist equipment, which FlowGuard owns rather than hires. Materials are charged separately. The rate does not change during the job, whether it takes one hour or four.

Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. The minimum charge is one hour at the rate for the time band you book in. Plumbing starts at £110 for standard hours, leak detection at £120, and drainage at £150. Work is billed from arrival on site.
3
Do you charge for quotes?
Yes. Our hourly rate applies from arrival. Our engineers assess the job on site, explain what is needed, and confirm the cost with you before any work starts. Quotes given over the phone are estimates only until the job is seen.
4
Do your rates change at weekends or on bank holidays?
No. Rates are the same seven days a week, including bank holidays. The price changes by time of day only. Standard hours run from 7AM to 6PM, evening from 6PM to 12AM, and night from 12AM to 7AM.

How long will the job take?
Most plumbing repairs are completed within one to two hours. Our engineers assess the job on arrival and give you a clear time estimate before starting work. Because the hourly rate is fixed, you can work out the likely cost upfront.
Yes. FlowGuard provides a 3 to 6 month warranty covering workmanship and any materials we supply. Blockages are excluded, as drains can be blocked again by what goes into them after we leave
