- Tracer Gas: A non-toxic gas is fed into the pipework. It escapes at the leak point and rises to the surface, where our detectors pick it up. Precise enough to locate leaks under concrete, behind finished walls, and in buried pipework without excavation.
- Thermal Imaging: Infrared cameras detect temperature differences caused by escaping water. Completely non-invasive. We scan walls, floors, and ceilings to identify moisture patterns that point to the leak source. No need to open up any part of the structure.
- Acoustic Detection: Pressurised water escaping from a pipe makes a sound. Our ground microphones and contact sensors amplify that sound and let us trace it to the source. Most effective on supply pipes where the system is under constant pressure.
- Dye Testing: Coloured dye goes into the system. If it appears somewhere it shouldn't, the leak path is confirmed. We use dye testing on waste pipes and drainage connections where other methods are less effective.
- Flood Testing: A section of the system is sealed and filled with water. Any drop in level over a set period confirms a leak. Standard method for testing shower trays, flat roofs, balconies, and areas where slow seepage is suspected.
- Borescope Inspections: A small camera on a flexible cable goes into pipes, cavities, and confined spaces. Direct visual inspection of pipe joints, cracks, and corrosion without opening up the structure. Useful when other methods have narrowed the area but you need visual confirmation.
